Shmulik Ahituv

Shmulik Ahituv has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. In 2009, they worked as a Research Assistant in the Face Recognition and Perception lab at the University of Haifa. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant for the "Design & Planning of Databases" course, where they focused on designing databases, writing advanced queries, and optimizing database performance.

In 2012, Ahituv joined BlueSnap as a DevOps Engineer and later became the DevOps Lead. In their role, they implemented CI/CD processes using Jenkins and led a project to refactor build jobs and scripts. Shmulik also developed tools for deployment and build processes and configured and deployed Java web applications using various tools and technologies.

From 2014 to 2019, Ahituv worked at Payoneer as the Head of DevOps, where they led the implementation of DevOps practices and processes throughout the company. Shmulik was responsible for CI/CD, Application Lifecycle Management, Infrastructure-as-Code, and logging and monitoring. Shmulik managed production data centers and domains, provisioned and configured environments using Terraform and Chef, and implemented monitoring solutions.

In 2019, Ahituv joined Zebra medical vision as the Head of DevOps, IT & Security. Shmulik played a key role in shaping and forming the DevOps/SRE guild and IT team, and established and implemented security layers within the organization. Shmulik led and implemented DevOps and SRE practices, processes, and tools.

Most recently, Ahituv joined Nanox AI in 2021 as the Director of DevOps, IT Operations & Security. Further details about this role are not provided.

Shmulik Ahituv completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from the University of Haifa, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the same university. Additionally, Shmulik has two certifications: Certified Rancher Operator from Rancher Labs, which they obtained in June 2020, and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they obtained in November 2019.
