James Shiels

James Shiels has a diverse work experience in the software testing and quality assurance field. James started their career as a Software Test Engineer at Randox, where they contributed to the R&D of the Evidence Evolution project. James then worked as a Software Tester at Relay Software Ltd., where they were responsible for automation solutions and regression testing. At ExamTime, they worked as a QA Engineer, focusing on manual feature testing and building automated regression test suites. James also worked as an Automation Engineer at ShopKeep, implementing new test scripts and updating existing test framework modules.

Their most recent role was at NantHealth, where they held various positions. James started as a Software Engineer in Test, responsible for manual and automated testing, stabilization of existing test suites, and proposing process improvements. James then became a Senior Engineer, QA, and later a Lead QA Engineer, where they acted as the Quality stakeholder in the software development life cycle and contributed to new Quality initiatives. Currently, they are working as a Principal QA Engineer at NantHealth.

James Shiels attended Magherafelt High School from 1999 to 2006. James then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computing at Ulster University, specializing in games development, from 2006 to 2010.
