Gulai Shen

Gulai Shen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Mechanical Team Member and Dynamic Subteam Lead at Illini Solar Car, where they also participated in the 2017 World Solar Challenge. From 2016 to 2017, Gulai served as a Course Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2018, they interned at Faw Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd as a Summer Intern. From 2018 to 2020, Gulai worked as a Research Assistant at Cornell University College of Engineering, focusing on building energy research. In 2019, they completed a Building Energy Research Internship at Prescriptive Data. Currently, Gulai is employed at Prescriptive Data since 2020, working as an AI Scientist.

Gulai Shen earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, where they attended from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2014 to 2018. In terms of additional certifications, Gulai obtained the "Introduction to Machine Learning in Production" certification from DeepLearning.AI in October 2022. They also completed the "Google Project Management: Specialization" certification from Coursera in September 2022. In October 2021, Gulai obtained the "Engineer In Training" certification from NCEES. Lastly, they attained the "LEED Green Associate" certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in December 2019.
