Ben Slater

Ben Slater is a seasoned academic and creative professional with extensive experience in the fields of art, design, and media. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer and Associate Chair (Students) at Nanyang Technological University, Ben Slater specializes in screenwriting, narrative writing, and film history while also focusing on student well-being and mental health support. Previous roles include teaching at the National University of Singapore and serving as a Publications Editor for the National Arts Council. Ben Slater has also contributed to various artistic projects as an Artist in Residence and has held programming positions in film-related roles at several organizations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Contemporary Theatre Practice and ongoing pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy in Creative Writing at Nanyang Technological University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Bristol.
