Bethany Chong

Bethany Chong is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Engineering at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, with an anticipated graduation in 2025. As a peer tutor, Bethany supports students in the module on Electronic & Magnetic Properties of Materials, focusing on solid state physics. Research experience includes synthesizing a novel hydrogel bead-based 3D printing ink as an undergraduate student researcher. Bethany's internship at Bell Flavors & Fragrances involved enhancing data accessibility through OCR technology and optimizing workload with a VBA program. Additionally, a Human Factors and Simulation Internship at HTX involved studying the ergonomic impacts of load carriage on thermal comfort. Earlier research internships included optimizing fabrication methods for ceramic matrix composites at DSO National Laboratories and developing image analysis workflows at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology.
