Kristin Baldwin

Kristin Baldwin has a diverse work experience in government affairs and advocacy. Kristin is currently the Director of State Government Affairs at NAPEO - The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce from 2017 to 2021. In this role, they led advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels, and was the principal legislative agent in Frankfort, KY and Washington, D.C.

Before their time at the chamber, Baldwin worked as the Senior Director of Governmental & External Affairs at the Kentucky Distillers Association from 2013 to 2017. Kristin played a key role in changing the conversation around Kentucky's distilled spirits industry and successfully advocated for the passage of a state tax credit in 2014. Kristin also advocated for modernizing Kentucky's alcohol laws.

Baldwin's earlier experiences include working as a Federal Affairs Manager at Global Automakers where they focused on free trade and customs issues, and as an Executive Assistant at the Kentucky Distillers' Association. Kristin also had a role in sales and external relations at the Kentucky Commerce Cabinet.

Throughout their career, Baldwin has demonstrated their expertise in government affairs, advocacy, and strategic communications.

Kristin Baldwin studied at Centre College from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Economics.
