Marielle Smith

Marielle Smith is the current Vice President of People at Narvar. Prior to their current role, they served as the Vice President of People Success at TapClicks from February 2020 to October 2020. In this role, they managed recruiting services for a high tech incubator, its operating companies, and select start-ups.

Before TapClicks, Marielle was the Vice President of People and Culture at Science Exchange from December 2018 to February 2020. There, they led People Operations and Recruiting for an R&D Marketplace SaaS Platform. Marielle focused on change management, employee lifecycle, and HR best practices while providing coaching and development to management in response to business needs. Marielle also led organizational development and recruiting for the business. Some of their operational initiatives include: 401(k) transition, benefits reconfiguration, financial and SOC2 audits.

From January 2015 to September 2018, Marielle served as the Vice President of People at Inflection. And prior to that role, they were the Recruiting Manager at Apigee from October 2012 to October 2014. Marielle began their career in People / Operations at Mulu from January 2012 to October 2012 before becoming a Recruiting Manager at Estalea from April 2010 to January 2012. Marielle started their career as a Contract Recruiter at Fandango from November 2009 to April 2010.

Marielle Smith received their PhD in Germanic Languages and Literatures from Harvard University. Marielle also holds a BA in German from UC Irvine. In addition, they are certified by SHRM in SHRM-CP and by GoodHire in Employment Background Check.
