Shamik Datta

Shamik Datta is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience across various technology companies. Currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Narvar since April 2023, Shamik leads engineering teams in India. As a VP of Engineering at SumUp from November 2020 to November 2022, and Director of Engineering at Omio from December 2017 to October 2020, significant contributions included building a comprehensive Air team that substantially boosted revenue. Prior roles include Associate Director at Myntra, where impactful projects decreased returns, and Co-founder at Native5, where Shamik architected a cloud-hosted mobile application development platform. Earlier career achievements include co-founding DSipher Design Solutions, leading innovative educational projects, and developing secure software solutions at Freescale Semiconductor. Shamik Datta holds both B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
