Randall Friedl

Deputy Director, Earth Science And Technology at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Randall Friedl possesses extensive experience in earth science and technology, currently serving as the Deputy Director at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory since January 2009. In this role, Randall has also held positions such as Manager of Earth Science Research and Mission Formulation and Deputy Director for Research. Prior to this, experience at NASA from August 2007 to December 2008 included Deputy Director for Science and Deputy Chief Scientist. Randall's career began at JPL from October 2001 to July 2007, where responsibilities included Chief Scientist for Earth. Academically, Randall holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Chemistry from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from UCLA.
