David Cheney has extensive experience in meteorology, education, and program management. As a Meteorologist and Military Deputy with the US Navy from July 2004 to June 2020, David served as a liaison between research scientists and military agencies, focusing on remote sensing and project management for space opportunities. Prior roles include Imagery Analyst at NGA, where David trained in geospatial and smart climatology analysis, and teaching positions at Duchesne High School and Lehi Junior High School. Currently, David holds the position of Program Executive at NASA, which follows a Master’s degree in Meteorology and Oceanography from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Education in Physics/Math from Brigham Young University.
