Matthew Guibert

Assistant Chief-Human-Machine Interaction at NASA

Matthew Guibert is the current Assistant Chief for Human-Machine Interaction at NASA. Matthew has also worked as a Staff Cognitive Scientist for Systems Technology, Inc., and as a Research Assistant at UCLA.

As a Research Assistant at UCLA, Matthew assisted with research under the faculty supervision of Dr. John Hummel and graduate advisor Niki Kittur. Matthew scheduled and briefed subjects, ran them through a task-based experiment, and assisted with compilation and analyzation of data.

Matthew's work as a Staff Cognitive Scientist for Systems Technology, Inc., focused on research and design for future manned missions to Mars. Matthew was responsible for the Capstone Project, which entailed research and design for a planning and communication tool for future manned missions to Mars.

Matthew Guibert has a Master's in Human Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Matthew Guibert reports to Jessica Nowinski, Deputy Division Chief (Acting). They are on a team with Joel Lachter - Assistant Chief- Integration & Training (Acting), Brent Beutter - Assistant Chief- Human Performance.
