Nadya Vinogradova Shiffer

Program Scientist & Program Manager at NASA

Nadya Vinogradova Shiffer serves as a Program Scientist and Program Manager at NASA's National Aeronautics and Space Administration since 2017, leading the Physical Oceanography Program and contributing to various satellite and sub-orbital missions focused on ocean physics and climate. Prior to NASA, Nadya worked as a Principal Scientist at the Cambridge Climate Institute from May 2016 to October 2019, conducting climate research related to Earth's water budget and sea level. Earlier experience includes a role as a Climate Scientist at Atmospheric and Environmental Research from 2005 to 2016, where contributions were made in ocean physics and climate modeling. Nadya holds a PhD in Physical Oceanography from NASA Stennis Space Center and a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from Nizhny Novgorod State University in Russia.
