Brittni Codrington

Brittni Codrington has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Brittni currently works at Nassau Financial Group as a Senior Actuarial Analyst, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Actuarial Analyst at the same company from July 2019 to February 2022.

Before joining Nassau Financial Group, Brittni gained experience in the insurance industry through an Actuarial Specialist / Post-Graduate Intern role at Northwestern Mutual. During their time there from October 2018 to June 2019, they contributed to various projects, including developing a tool within MS Excel for UL products under PBR and analyzing changes in LTC reserves for the strategic business plan.

Brittni also has experience in the healthcare sector, having worked at Health Quest from September 2011 to September 2018. In their role as a Referral Coordinator, they monitored and interpreted policy changes for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers, and collaborated with the team to address the impact of these changes. Brittni later transitioned to the role of Financial Clearance and Centralized Services Specialist, where they pioneered the use of Log Books for service representatives and provided training on commercial health insurance products.

Brittni's early work experience includes working as a Promoter at Big Orange Productions from May 2008 to November 2015, where they developed strong public speaking skills and effectively conveyed information about various products to target audiences. Brittni also had a clerical temp role at Ethan Allen Personnel Group in 2011, where they assisted in the Credentialing Department at Health Quest.

Throughout their career, Brittni has demonstrated their ability to adapt to different industries, take on new challenges, and contribute to various projects.

Brittni Codrington obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Math-Actuarial from Binghamton University, where they attended from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Mathematics at Dutchess Community College from 2005 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Brittni has obtained several certifications. In 2009, they obtained the Exam P certification from the Society of Actuaries. In 2016, they obtained the Exam FM certification, also from the Society of Actuaries. In 2017, they achieved the Green Belt Lean Six Sigma certification from Binghamton University and the Exam MFE certification from the Society of Actuaries. In 2018, they completed the Creative Thinking certification from Lynda.com and the IABA Boot Camp from the International Association of Black Actuaries. Their most recent certification is the Excel 2016 Essential Training, which they obtained from Lynda.com in 2019.
