Jamika D. Burge

Jamika D. Burge, PhD, serves as the Head of Research & Insights Strategy for AI/Data/ML at Capital One, where responsibilities include leading a team that applies human insights to drive impact across Design, Tech, Product, and Data Science associates. In addition, Jamika is the CEO, Board President, and Co-Founder of blackcomputeHER, a nonprofit focused on enhancing tech education and workforce development for black women and girls. Jamika has held various leadership positions in research and technology, including Director of Assessment Technology Product and Research at Smarter Balanced and has contributed to initiatives addressing the underrepresentation of women of color in tech through the National Academies of Sciences. With a rich academic background that includes a PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and a postdoc at Penn State University, Jamika possesses extensive experience in research, design thinking, and technology consultation across multiple sectors.
