Director, Strategic Event Development at National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC)

Brian Kirkland, CAE, DES has more than 15 years of experience in the field of education and event management. Brian is currently serving as the Director of Strategic Event Development at the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC). Prior to this, Brian worked as a Contractor at Meeting Priorities where they managed virtual and hybrid event portfolios for various association clients. Brian has also held positions such as Director of Instructional Design at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Director of Education at the National Sleep Foundation, Senior Director of Learning at ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, Director of Education Programs and Services at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), Assistant Director of Education at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and Senior Learning Manager at ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership. Brian has extensive experience in developing and managing educational programs, conducting needs assessments, coordinating logistics, identifying educational needs, and collaborating with senior leadership teams. Brian has also successfully designed and implemented online learning strategies, self-paced courses, and online conferences.

Brian Kirkland, CAE, DES has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Brian also holds a Master of Arts degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition to their degrees, Brian has obtained the certifications of Certified Association Executive (CAE) from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in January 2023, and Digital Event Strategist (DES) from PCMA in September 2021.
