Jen Kampsen Carreras, JD, CWLS, currently serves as the Deputy Director for the State of Georgia Office of the Child Advocate for the Protection of Children, managing a team of investigators and overseeing key initiatives to promote child welfare. Since September 2021, responsibilities include leading the planning of Georgia's largest multidisciplinary child welfare conference, managing federal grant processes, and advocating for legislative improvements. In addition to this role, Jen acts as the State Coordinator for the National Association of Counsel for Children and participates as a Task Force Member on the Georgia Children's Justice Act CAPTA Panel. Previous positions encompass roles as a Judicial Staff Attorney in Forsyth County, a Child Welfare and Family Law Litigator, a Senior Child Advocate Attorney at the Dekalb County Child Advocacy Center, and a Cold Case Project Fellow at the Supreme Court of Georgia. Jen holds a Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Communications from the College of Charleston.
