Jamie Bussey has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 until the present. Their most recent role is as the Director of Learning and Development at the National Audubon Society, starting in May 2023. Jamie's career started with the Peace Corps, where they served as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 2009 to 2011. They also briefly worked as a Long Term Substitute Teacher at Anne Arundel County Public Schools in 2009. Jamie's earliest job was as an Editorial Producer at the National Geographic Society from 2007 to 2009.
Jamie Bussey obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Training and Education from American University, from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, Jamie attended Hood College from 2004 to 2008 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English, Communications, and Journalism. Additionally, Jamie has attained several certifications including Textio Equitable Performance Feedback from Textio in December 2022, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in April 2022, TechChange 101: How to Teach Online from TechChange in February 2020, various Leadership and Management Courses from Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning in May 2019, Foundations of Learning Experience Design from NovoEd in April 2018, and E-Learning Instructional Design from ATD in August 2016.
