Francois Lachance

Francois Lachance has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Francois is currently working as a Développeur Principal Full Stack at National Bank of Canada, starting in October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Levio as a Developer from July 2020 to October 2021.

Before joining Levio, Francois was a Solutions Architect at CHU Sainte-Justine Research Centre from January 2019 to June 2020. In this role, they led the development of a Genomics Data System, specializing in bioinformatics and big data processing. Francois also acted as a Solution Architect for the Centre de génomique Clinique, pioneering the first clinical genomic project in Canada. Their work involved R&D in big data, architecture design, and utilization of microservices, Docker, and Swarm deployment.

In 2018, Francois had a brief stint as a self-employed Full Stack Developer before joining OneSpan. At OneSpan, they held multiple roles from January 2011 to November 2018. Francois worked as a Full Stack Software Developer during this time and also briefly served as an SQA Developer.

Francois's earlier career includes roles as an AutoCAD Trainer at M.A.G. Consultant Inc. in 2014 and as a Lead Software Developer at Titan-Tech Solution Inc. and DTD CAD Consultant Inc. in 2001. Francois started their career in 1996 as an IT Technician at Réseau Québécois des Groupes Écologiques and then worked as an IT Technician at Decision One and Rseau Québécois des Groupes Écologiques in 1997.

Francois Lachance completed a Diploma of College Studies in Computer Techniques at Cégep Garneau from 1989 to 1992. Francois then pursued an Academic Welcome in Science (AEC) at Cégep Garneau in 1993. Later that year, they attended Université de Sherbrooke to pursue Computer Engineering from 1993 to 1995. Finally, in 2010 to 2011, they attended Collège de Maisonneuve to obtain an Attestation of Collegial Studies in Programming with a Specialty in Object Programming.
