Gauthier Girwamuhire

Gauthier Girwamuhire has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Gauthier began their career in 2008 as an IT Officer and Monitor and Evaluation Specialist at ACD. In 2009, they joined the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) where they held various roles. These roles include Principle Information System Audit/IT Audit, where they established the first IT Audit Unit at the BNR and conducted audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and best practices. Gauthier also served as a Project Manager for Core Banking and ERP implementation, overseeing the successful deployment of new banking and enterprise resource planning systems. As Director of Currency Management and Banking Operations, Girwamuhire redefined banking services for government institutions and agencies, implementing online banking and improving payment order settlement timelines. Gauthier also served as Project Director for Cash Center Automation, implementing a fully automated cash center system and improving efficiency and security in cash handling. Girwamuhire's contributions extended to quality management, where they coordinated efforts to design and implement a quality management system for BNR, leading to ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Gauthier Girwamuhire has a Master of Science in Information Technology, which they obtained from the University of Madras in 2011-2012. Gauthier also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Information Management, which they obtained from the Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA) from 2004 to 2008.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Gauthier has several certifications. Gauthier obtained the PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer certification from PECB in August 2022. In August 2021, they became a Certified Business Analysis Professional™ after completing the program at IIBA. Furthermore, they hold the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in July 2020. Gauthier is also a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), having earned the certification from ISACA in January 2018. Gauthier obtained the ITIL V3 Foundation certification from APM Group in April 2011 and the PRINCE 2 (Project In a Controlled Environment) Practitioner certification, also from APM Group, in August 2010.
