Kristen Whitaker

Kristen Whitaker leads NCFL's Immersive Education vision and Wonderopolis digital property. She hails from Washington D.C., where she taught History at Columbia Heights Educational Campus and was a Home Visit city-wide teacher trainer for The Flamboyan Foundation. Kristen matriculated from North Carolina Central University with a double major in Political Science and Public Administration. She then earned a Masters in Federal Program Management at Trinity University. Kristen was named Family Engagement Teacher of the Year by NCFL in 2015. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, painting, sewing, fishing, and reading, among other activities.
