Tracy Teater

National Director, Community Impact at National Center for Families Learning

As Senior Education Director, Tracy Teater provides training, coaching, technical assistance, subject matter expertise, and strategic vision for several NCFL initiatives, including the National Literacy Directory, Family Literacy, and Family Learning Model programs, Adult Education, and Workforce Development.

Before joining NCFL, Tracy enjoyed a 20-year career in Adult Education, serving in Tennessee and Kentucky. She has served as a teacher, coach, Family Literacy Coordinator, specialist, and program director throughout her career. Tracy especially enjoys working together with program families and partners to leverage resources and seek new and creative ways to improve educational outcomes and reduce systematic barriers.

Tracy holds a Master of Science in Adult Education from Western Kentucky University and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education from the University of Kentucky. In her spare time, Tracy enjoys traveling, rooting for the University of Kentucky Wildcats, and spending time with her husband and their five children.
