Jannet Okazaki

Jannet Okazaki is the current Principal Court Management Consultant at the National Center for State Courts. Jannet has over twenty years of experience in the field of telecommunications and information technology.

Jannet began their career in 1985 as a Telecommunications Specialist III with the Florida Department of Children and Families. In this role, they were responsible for the administration of the telecommunications network for Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties. This included managing network communications, terminal emulation, and email maintenance. Jannet also served as the security officer on the IBM Mainframe RACF/TSOF.

In 1996, they transitioned to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice as a Systems Project Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for network administration for Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties. Jannet also chaired the statewide Workstation Standards Committee and provided regional MIS support. Additionally, they were responsible for performance monitoring, data and network security, application program testing, implementation, and maintenance.

Most recently, they served as the Trial Court Technology Officer for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida from January 2001 to December 2016. In this role, they were responsible for court technology planning and implementation, budgeting, vendor selection and management, and project management.

Jannet Okazaki has a wealth of experience in the field of information technology and has played a key role in shaping the technology infrastructure of various organizations.

Jannet Okazaki has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Saint Leo University. Jannet also has two certifications from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education: USF Design Thinking Certificate, powered by Stonehill and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate.
