Lindsay Semph is an experienced policy, partnership, and communications operative with a strong background in social justice advocacy and education. Currently serving as the Director of Policy and Communications at the National Council of Teachers of English since February 2023, and as a consultant at SquadBuck since March 2022, Lindsay has also held significant roles within Educators for Excellence from 2016 to 2022, including Managing Director of External Affairs and Senior Associate of External Affairs. As an elected community member of Goethe Elementary Local School Council since July 2014, Lindsay actively represents the community, having begun the third term in 2018. Prior experience includes organizing educators as the Outreach Director at Educators for Excellence and teaching music in various capacities throughout Chicago. Educational achievements include a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education from Lawrence University.
