Marvin Young

Marvin Young is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in communications and the arts. Currently serving as the Visual and Member Communications Coordinator for the National Council of Teachers of English since August 2018, Marvin has also owned and operated Marvin Young Photographer since November 1994. Previous roles include Public Art and Design Director at the Kentucky Arts Council, Photographer for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and PR Specialist for the National Center for Family Literacy. In addition, Marvin worked as an Internal Communications Specialist at the University of Louisville and as a News and Public Affairs Assistant at the Louisville Defender Newspaper. Marvin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Louisville, earned between 1984 and 1989.
