Michael Stanton

Michael Stanton is a Federal Project Manager at the National Energy Technology Laboratory since September 2023. Prior to this role, Michael served as a Graduate Research Assistant at West Virginia University from August 2017 to September 2023, where responsibilities included supervising catalytic reaction development projects, analyzing scientific documents, mentoring researchers, and maintaining chemical inventories. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Michael taught laboratory sessions in general, organic, and biochemistry, facilitating the education of over 400 students. Michael's earlier experience includes working as a Sales Associate at Sherwin-Williams Paints from May 2013 to August 2017, where keyholder responsibilities included managing store operations and building customer relationships. Michael holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry/Catalysis from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
