Helen Hampton has extensive work experience in the field of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) advisory roles. Helen started their career in 1992 at Tenby Electrical, where they worked as a Sales & Marketing Analysis. In 1998, they transitioned to Chase Norton Construction, where they served as a Safety & Training Advisor for a period of ten years. In 2008, they joined West Midlands Police as a Health & Safety Coordinator until 2010. Following this, they joined National Express Bus in 2010 as an HSE Advisor. Later that year, they moved to National Express Group and worked as a Deputy Head of Safety. Their most recent role has been at National Express, where they currently serve as a Senior HSE Advisor.

Helen Hampton attended Woodrush High School from 1981 to 1986. However, there is no information about any degree or field of study they pursued during their time at the high school.
