Snehal Katre

Snehal Katre has worked in various roles in the data science field since 2007. In 2021, they became the Director of Data Science at National Funding. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. as a Product Manager - FWA and Senior Data Scientist. From 2010 to 2018, they worked at FICO® as a Lead Scientist and Analytic Scientist. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2010, they worked at Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. (Subsidiary of Credit Suisse) as an Analytics/MIS Analyst. In their roles, they have worked on applying self calibrating analytics in credit risk models, leading the development of outlier detection models to identify fraud, waste and abuse in the Procure-to-Pay cycle, building statistical models in Java and PL/SQL using outlier detection techniques to predict fraud in healthcare insurance industry, and maintaining and updating the Advance Continuation Model - A Risk Analysis tool developed to mitigate risk against default, using SAS & SQL.

Snehal Katre has a background in Applied Mathematics & Statistics. Snehal obtained their Master of Science from Stony Brook University in 2007 and their Bachelor of Science from Stony Brook University in 2005, with a double major in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Economics. Snehal also completed a course in Data Mining from UCSD Extension. Katre has obtained several certifications, including AWS Lambda Functions from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2022, Machine Learning Essentials for Business and Technical Decision Makers from AWS in 2022, AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials from AWS in 2022, Becoming a Product Manager from LinkedIn in 2020, Project Management Foundations from LinkedIn in 2020, and Cert Prep: Scrum Master from LinkedIn in 2020.
