Debora Trein

Director, Science (human Histories And Cultures) at National Geographic Society

Debora Trein, Ph.D. is currently the Director of Science (Human Histories and Cultures) at National Geographic Society. Previously, Debora held positions such as Senior Manager of Social Sciences and Program Officer of Social Sciences Grants at the same organization. Debora also served as the Co-Executive Director at SAFE/Saving Antiquities For Everyone, and as Lecturer in Anthropology at the University of Washington. Additionally, Debora has extensive experience in archaeology research and teaching roles at various institutions. Debora holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin, an MA in Archaeology from UCL, and a BA in Archaeology from UCL.
