Michael Garner

Michael Garner has a strong background in IT management and DevOps engineering. Michael is currently the Director of DevOps Engineering at the National Geographic Society, a role they started in April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Director of Systems Engineering at IQVIA from July 2021 to April 2022. From May 2016 to April 2022, they were the Sr. IT Manager - DevOps at Grand Canyon Education, Inc., where they managed three teams and provided expertise in tooling, automation, and application delivery. Before that, they held positions at Grand Canyon University, American Airlines, and US Airways, focusing on IT management, systems administration, and systems operations.

Michael Garner earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, where they attended from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in BAS Technology Management from Northern Arizona University, where they enrolled from 2011 to 2013.
