Alex Pollack currently serves as the Director of Photography at National Geographic, a position held since October 2024. Prior to this role, Pollack worked as the Photo Director at BDG from October 2021 and as a Contributing Photo Editor for Apple through Aquent from September 2018 to October 2021. Experience also includes a tenure as a Freelance Visual Director and Creative Producer at goop.com, which involved the visual conception of Goop's quarterly magazine alongside a team of creatives, and as Photo Director for Bon Appetit at Condé Nast, where Pollack played a key role in reinventing the brand's visual identity. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and History from UMass Boston and attendance at Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach.
