Ross Highfield

Ross Highfield currently serves as the Executive Search Lead at National Grid, overseeing executive search functions across business units in both the UK and US since July 2025. Prior to this role, Ross was the Research Lead in the Education practice at GatenbySanderson, where responsibilities included managing a research team and leading executive-level searches across various educational sectors. Ross's professional journey began at Henley Research International Ltd, where multiple roles culminated in a position as Associate Director – Executive Search, emphasizing project management and client relationship management across various industries. Ross holds a BA in French & Italian from the University of Bristol, an MA in Modern European Cultures from the University of Birmingham, and completed Erasmus placements focusing on literature, culture, history, and linguistics at Università degli Studi di Firenze and Université Paris 8.
