Xing Yang is a Senior Scientist at National Gypsum Company since December 2022, bringing extensive experience in research and development from previous roles at Viance - Treated Wood Solutions, where a focus on R&D projects led to the commercialization of new chemical formulations, including weather-resistant colorants and fire-retardants for wood treatment. Prior to this, Xing Yang served as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, simulating industrial bio-adhesive formulations and optimizing adhesive properties. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the same institution, Xing Yang developed innovative methods for analyzing adhesives and contributed to understanding the structure-property relationships of adhesives with fillers. Xing Yang holds a Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech, achieved in 2014.
