Richard Murray

Richard Murray serves as the Dean of the College of Medicine and Dentistry at James Cook University and holds the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor for the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine since February 2005. Richard's extensive experience includes roles such as Chair of the Board for JCU Health Pty Ltd, Council Member for the National Health and Medical Research Council, and past President of Medical Deans Australia and New Zealand. Richard has been involved with various health organizations, including a Board Member at Mackay Hospital and Health Service and the Rural Doctors Association of Australia. Richard's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Melbourne and a Master's degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University.
