Tiffany L. Dunagan

Character Education/social Emotional Learning Team Lead at National Heritage Academies

Tiffany L. Dunagan has a comprehensive work experience spanning several years. Tiffany L. began their career as a Kindergarten and Third Grade Teacher at Siloam Christian School in 1992 before moving on to Southside Assembly School, where they implemented and taught a full-day kindergarten program. Tiffany L. then worked as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Southside Christian School from 1996 to 2000. In 2001, they joined Wake County Public School System as a Kindergarten Teacher for a year. From 2004 to 2011, they served as a 5th Grade Teacher at Queen's Grant Community School.

Tiffany then transitioned to National Heritage Academies, where they held various leadership roles. Tiffany L. started as a Coaching and Learning Consultant in 2011 and later became an Instructional and Classroom Management Specialist from 2012 to 2014. Tiffany L. then worked as a Math Curriculum and Instruction Specialist/Team Lead, managing a team of math specialists and supporting schools in effective math instruction. Tiffany L. was also involved in analyzing assessment data. After that, they became a Dean of Students for a year and subsequently served as a Sr. Curriculum and Instruction ELA Specialist. Most recently, they have held the role of Curriculum and Instruction Team Lead-Social Studies and Character Education and is currently working as the Character Education/Social Emotional Learning Team Lead at National Heritage Academies.

Tiffany L. Dunagan holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Furman University, which they earned from 1988 to 1992. Tiffany L. later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Education with a focus on Early Childhood from the same university, completing it from 1992 to 1994. Additionally, they obtained an Ed.S. degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Oakland University between 2010 and 2012. Alongside their educational background, Tiffany also holds various certifications, including Cooperative Learning School Trainer from Kagan, a Learning Transfer Certificate from ASTD, and the NC Standard II Teaching License K-6 and 6-8 Language Arts from NCDPI.
