Katie Lucaites, Ph.D., is a Human Factors Research Psychologist at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) since January 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Human Factors Scientist at Exponent and as a Graduate Instructor of Record at Clemson University. Katie also completed internships focused on human factors research and user experience at Emergo by UL and Verizon Connect, where engagement included developing virtual reality driving environments and conducting user research for connected car products. Academic qualifications consist of a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Oberlin College.
