Jason Elmore

Vice President at National Information Officers Association

Jason Elmore has extensive experience in communications and emergency management. Jason currently serves as the Deputy Director of Communications & Chief Agency Spokesperson for the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. Prior to this role, they were the Deputy Director of Communications for the same department. In addition, Jason has served as the Vice President of the National Information Officers Association. Before their current positions, they worked as the Public Information Officer for Chesterfield Fire and EMS for nearly two decades.

Jason Elmore holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Strayer University (2002-2004), an Associate's degree in General Studies from Richard Bland College of William & Mary (1992-1994), and a Master's degree in Divinity/Ministry from Virginia Union University (2010-2014). Jason also obtained an Advanced Public Information Officer certificate from the Emergency Management Institute in 2014 and a Master Public Information Officer degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from the same institute in 2019-2020. Furthermore, they hold a certificate in National Emergency Management Basic Academy from the Emergency Management Institute.
