Meredith Kormes

Meredith Kormes has extensive work experience in the field of strategic communications and campaign management. Meredith is currently the Director of Strategic Communications and Partnerships at the National Institute for Reproductive Health/NIRH Action Fund. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Director of Strategic Communications and Campaigns at the same organization. Meredith also served as the Associate Director of State Initiatives there from 2015 to 2018.

Before joining the National Institute for Reproductive Health, Meredith worked as a Political Strategist for the Reproductive Freedom Initiative at ACLU from 2014 to 2015. Meredith also worked as a Campaign Coordinator for Letitia James in 2013.

Meredith has experience in the political field as well, having worked at EMILY's List as a Consultant in 2013 and as the WOMEN VOTE! Deputy Director from 2011 to 2012. Meredith also worked as a Senior Researcher at Media Matters for America in 2011.

Earlier in their career, Meredith held positions such as the WOMEN VOTE! Research Director at EMILY's List from 2010 to 2011, Research Director for Martha Coakley for U.S. Senate in 2009, Senior Research Associate for Friends of Terry McAuliffe in 2009, and Research Associate for DSCC from 2008 to 2008.

Meredith Kormes obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Women Studies from Tufts University from 1996 to 2000. Meredith then pursued a Master's in Public Administration, specializing in Social Policy, at American University from 2004 to 2006.
