Ruth Holmes

Ruth Holmes is currently a PhD Research Student in Deep Learning for Sign Language Recognition at Trinity College Dublin, with a concurrent research internship at the National Institute of Informatics. Previously, Ruth completed a PhD Research Studentship and held positions as a Research Assistant and Computer Science Demonstrator at University College Dublin from September 2020 to December 2022. Prior experience includes roles in the hospitality sector, including bartender and manager positions, and several grooming internships in the equine industry. Ruth holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Deep Learning from Trinity College Dublin (expected completion May 2025), a Master of Science in Computer Science from University College Dublin (2019-2020), and a degree in Animal Science with a focus on Equine from University College Dublin (2012-2016).
