Raj Dabre

Researcher at NICT

Raj Dabre is an accomplished researcher and educator with a focus on low-resource multilingual machine translation and speech recognition. Currently serving as an Honorary Visiting Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and as Adjunct Faculty at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Raj's extensive experience includes a significant research role at NICT since May 2018. With a PhD from Kyoto University, where Raj explored multilingualism and transfer learning, previous contributions include an internship at Google working on deep learning solutions and a research assistantship on Indian Language machine translation projects at IIT Bombay. Raj's academic background is further supported by teaching positions, including a lectureship at St Francis Institute of Technology and active involvement in organizing international conferences.
