Michail Lionakis

Michail Lionakis is a Clinical Investigator at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 2007, previously serving as an Assistant Clinical Investigator and an Infectious Diseases Fellow. Prior to NIH, Michail Lionakis completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Baylor College of Medicine from 2004 to 2007 and worked as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2002 to 2004. Earlier experience includes serving as a rural physician with the Greek Ministry of Health & Welfare from 2000 to 2002 and training as a medical student at the University of Crete, where Michail Lionakis earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
