Yvette Pittman

Yvette Pittman, PhD, currently serves as the Director of the Office of Research Training and Career Development at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where responsibilities include managing operations for intramural training, overseeing a significant budget, and providing guidance for grant submissions and training programs. In addition to this role, Yvette is also the Director of the Intramural Office of Education, responsible for developing educational initiatives for fellows and collaborating with international institutions on graduate-level partnerships. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Director of the Intramural Office of Education and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at NICHD, where advanced molecular genetic techniques were applied. Yvette holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics, Microbiology, and Immunology from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a BS in Biology, summa cum laude, from Delaware State University.
