Tamara Wagner

Tamara is considered to be the one of the strongest coders in the ASC industry. She joined National Medical in 2004, and today serves as Senior Vice President of Performance Review.

In this position, Tamara is responsible for creating and conducting a systematic audit process for our clients and our coders. She then identifies areas of opportunity for improvement and organizes the training of any such coding or compliance issues. She also developed a training program for new coders. In addition, Tamara makes sure that she and her team focus on getting extensive continuing education in ASC coding so that all National Medical coders stay current with all of the trends and changes in the industry.

Tamara began her career at SmithKline Clinical Laboratories as a medical technologist. She then moved into various healthcare roles before joining National Medical.

She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including ASCA and Becker’s ASC. Tamara has also contributed to numerous industry publications.

Tamara earned a B.S. in Biology from St. Louis University.
