Sudhakar Rao Gorja is a Senior Scientist at the National Metallurgical Laboratory, where involvement in the Corrosion Group of the Materials Engineering Division focuses on Environmental Assisted Cracking, including stress corrosion cracking and hydrogen embrittlement. Prior to this role, Sudhakar was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Paul Scherrer Institut, investigating hydrogen in RPV steels and hydrogen-induced fracture. Sudhakar's academic journey includes a PhD from Banaras Hindu University, where research centered on the cyclic deformation behavior of zirconium alloys, and an M.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from the same institution. Earlier experience includes a Project Fellow position at NITW, exploring corrosion behavior of titanium and its alloys for biomedical applications. Educational qualifications also encompass a B.Tech in Metallurgy from the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology.
