Andrew Evans

Andrew Evans, Ph.D., currently serves as the UxS Product Area Lead and Data Scientist at NOAA, beginning in October 2023. Prior to this role, Andrew was a Subject Matter Expert and Geospatial Data Scientist at Radiance Technologies, where responsibilities included supporting the ISR division at CNMOC, analyzing functional data strategies, and developing data standards for uncrewed vehicles. Andrew's experience also includes serving as a Physical Scientist at the Naval Oceanographic Office and founding Osprey Geospatial Solutions, focusing on unmanned aircraft systems and GIS consulting. Andrew has taught various geography and GIS courses at Texas A&M University and Virginia Tech, and holds a Ph.D. in Geography from Texas A&M University, along with an MS from Virginia Tech and a BA from the University of New Orleans.
