Michael Bollinger currently serves as a Marine Geospatial Scientist at NOAA, focusing on optical analyses and 3D fisheries studies. Previously, Michael held roles as a Biological Scientist I and II at the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, contributing to scallop research and restoration ecology efforts, including the recovery of sponges and corals. Additional experience includes positions as a Divemaster, Senior Diver, and Graduate Research Assistant, where Michael developed sonar technology for fish surveys and analyzed ecological data. Michael obtained a Master of Science in Biology from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Penn State University.
