Robotic Systems Software Engineer at National Oceanography Centre

Rashiid Sherif is a skilled engineer with a strong background in software and hardware development. Currently serving as a Robotic Systems Software Engineer at the National Oceanography Centre since September 2020, Rashiid contributes to the embedded software development for control systems on Autosub Autonomous Underwater Vehicles. Prior experience includes a role as a Hardware Engineer at James Fisher Prolec, where responsibilities involved executing ISO16750 environmental and electrical tests and testing automotive MEMS sensors. Additionally, Rashiid worked as a Manufacturing Systems Development Engineer at KROHNE Group, focusing on critical production systems and embedded microprocessor design. Rashiid holds a Master's degree in Embedded Microelectronics and Wireless Systems, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from Coventry University.
