Noah Gottdiener

Since 2004, Noah Gottdiener has served as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors for Duff & Phelps. During that time, revenue has increased from $30 million in 2004 to $1 billion in 2018. Duff & Phelps has more than 3,500 employees in 70 offices spanning the Americas, Europe and Asia. In 2013, Noah led the company through a go-private transaction, backed by a consortium of investors and management.

Previously, Noah was the founding partner of Stone Ridge Partners LLC, a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm; Noah used this platform to acquire Duff & Phelps. Prior to that, Noah was a partner with Thomas Weisel Partners and Furman Selz LLC, and a managing director at Lehman Brothers, where he began his career.

Noah is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Advisory Board of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He is a Vice Chair on the Corporate Fund Board at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and sits on the Board of Trustees of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and The Brearley School. Noah also sits on the Board of Directors of Focus Financial Partners. Noah received his B.A. in Mathematics from Princeton University and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Noah, a former member of the NOLS Advisory Board, completed his first NOLS course in 1976, took the Instructors Course in 1977, and worked as an instructor in 1977. Noah and his wife Maria live in New York City and have spent their weekends in the Catskill mountains, where their children learned to climb and hike. Noah proposed to Maria on the summit of the Grand Teton and recently celebrated his 60th birthday on the summit of the Grand.
