Wilderness First Aid Lead Instructor at NATIONAL OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP SCHOOL

Peter Blessing has over 40 years of work experience in various outdoor leadership, teaching, and program management roles. Peter started their career in 1979 as an Instructor and Senior Staff at the National Outdoor Leadership School. From 1999 to 2003, they served as the Director of NOLS East Africa. In 2004, they worked as the Academic Director for Study Abroad Kenya at World Learning. Peter then joined Cornell University in 2005 as the Director of Outdoor Programs & Risk Management. Peter also has experience in wilderness medicine as a Wilderness First Aid Lead Instructor at NOLS Wilderness Medicine from 2007. Peter's most recent role was as the Expedition Leader on Wilderness Discoverer at Un-Cruise Adventures, which they started in 2014.

Peter Blessing earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from Western Washington University, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Peter then pursued a Master of Science degree in Zoology at Texas Tech University from 1987 to 1990.
