Kelli Wicks has a diverse range of work experience in various organizations. In 2017, they served as a Borlaug-Ruan International Intern at the International Livestock Research Institute, where they conducted research, advised dairy entrepreneurs, and published a work on milk production. In 2018, they worked as a Wallace-Carver Fellow at the USDA Agricultural Research Service, collecting soybean samples and analyzing soil data. Kelli also worked as a Biological Research Aid at the North Central Regional Plant Introduction Station, focusing on vegetable harvesting and seed record-keeping. In 2019, they became a Wallace-Carver Fellow at the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, conducting market research and participating in stakeholder meetings. In 2020, they interned at Midwest Dairy, researching consumer insights and assisting with dairy-related events. Kelli also worked as a Show Barn Manager at QM Farms in 2021, handling cattle management and marketing. In the same year, they served as a Graduate Assistant at the Oklahoma State Master of International Agriculture Program, managing the program's website, alumni records, and assisting with ceremonies. Currently, they are employed at the National Pork Board, where they work as the Manager of International Market Development, responsible for various tasks related to the organization's international market development efforts.
Kelli Wicks received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Agriculture and Society from Iowa State University, where they studied from 2017 to 2020. Kelli then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in International Agriculture at Oklahoma State University, which they are expected to complete between 2021 and 2023.
