Senior Vice President, Issues And Crisis at NATIONAL Public Relations

Karen White has over 20 years of experience in communications and public relations. Karen is currently working as the Senior Vice President of Issues and Crisis at NATIONAL Public Relations, a role they have held since 2015. Prior to this, they were a Director of Communications at the Nova Scotia Department of Energy and Nova Scotia Environment. Karen also has experience in the private sector, working as the Director of Communications at Conserve Nova Scotia and Quiznos Canada. Throughout their career, Karen has specialized in strategic communication planning, emergency and crisis communication, issues and reputation management, and stakeholder, government, and media relations. Karen is known for their ability to provide senior counsel and strategic advice to organizations navigating complex and challenging situations.

Karen White obtained an MBA degree in Marketing/International Management from Saint Mary's University from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Public Relations with a Certificate in Business Administration from Mount Saint Vincent University from 1994 to 1998. Karen also holds additional certifications in Incident Command System (ICS) 200, IAP2 - International Association of Public Participation - Planning and Techniques, and Incident Command System - ICS 100.
